Sequoia Builders & Remodel Inc. is a California-licensed general contractor and remodeler based in the Fresno County foothills near Dunlap, building across Fresno, Tulare, Kings & Madera Counties.
Our story
A young company with real work behind it
SBR is a California-licensed general contractor and remodeler working out of the Fresno County foothills. From there we cover the Central San Joaquin Valley — Fresno County, Tulare County, Kings County, Madera County — which in practice means the valley floor along the 99 and the 180, and the foothill communities that run up toward the Sequoia and Kings Canyon gateways.
The company is new. The work is not thin: post-and-beam new construction with structural steel connectors, whole houses framed and sided, composite decks and railings, wood staircases cut on site, marble-slab and tiled bathrooms, plank flooring and interior finish, pergolas over stamped concrete, and metal re-roofing in the foothills. That range is deliberate. It is what lets one crew take a project from the pad to the last piece of trim without handing it off.
We are not going to tell you we have been doing this for twenty years, because we have not. What we will tell you is this: the license number is real, the photos on this site are our own jobs, the estimate is free, and if we do not think your plan is going to work we will say so before you spend money on it.
What we have not put on this page
You will not find owner biographies, staff photos, project locations, customer quotes, star ratings or a founding date here. Those things belong on a contractor’s site — but only once they are accurate. Rather than fill the gaps with something plausible, we have left them out until we can publish them properly. Ask us anything you want to know and you will get a straight answer on the phone.

Full-service, one crew
New construction, additions, whole-home and kitchen and bath remodels, decks and covers, flooring and finish, staircases and carpentry, siding and roofing. One contractor holds the schedule and answers for the result.
Craftsmanship you can see
Marble-slab showers, post-and-beam framing with steel connectors, composite decks with built-in benches, cut-stringer staircases. We would rather show the work than describe it.

Yes. Additions, structural changes, new construction and most covered structures need a permit, and requirements differ across Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Madera counties. We handle the submittal and coordinate inspections as part of the job.
